2013 Detroit ATHENA Award Dinner

The Detroit ATHENA Award Program & Dinner, hosted by the YWCA of Metropolitan Detroit, will honor the 2013 award recipients of the ATHENA Leadership Award® and ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award® during an elegant reception and dinner on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Colony Club in Detroit, Michigan.

The event will include a VIP reception for the sponsors, nominees and nominators, followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction. Dinner and the program, which includes a guest speaker, recognition of all nominees and the announcement of this year’s recipients, will take place in grand fashion to conclude the evening.

All proceeds from the dinner and silent auction will benefit the YWCA of Metropolitan Detroit, empowering women and eliminating racism.


About the Detroit ATHENA Award Program

The YWCA’s Detroit ATHENA Award Program is a licensed award program and event that annually awards the nationally-recognized ATHENA Award® to a business or individual. This award is designed to recognize leaders who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession, who provides valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and who actively assists women in realizing their full leadership potential.

For 119 years, the YWCA of Metropolitan Detroit has provided important programs for women, girls and families. All proceeds from the annual event benefit the YWCA of Metropolitan Detroit and fund all of our programs, children’s/physical therapy camp and the only domestic violence shelter in the city of Detroit.
